Yimchungrü Akherü Arihako (YAA) has appealed to director, Health and Family Welfare to deploy medical officer at Primary Health Centre (PHC) Shamator town, against transferred vacancy and also to direct nurses to join their duties within seven days from the date of publication of this press release.
In a press statement, Z. Throngshe, general secretary YAA informed that PHC Shamator which was the headquarter of Yimchungrü tribe had been locked for quite sometime due to non-availability of doctors and nurses and the lone medical officer Dr. Imtijongshi has been transferred a month ago and the department has not deployed to relieve the incumbent till date.
Further, YAA alleged that nurses appointed against PHC Shamator were not reporting for duties and hundreds of lives are at the stake due to the negligence of the responsible department as there was no other alternative medical avenue.
YAA has urged responsible authority to do the needful at the earliest and also informed that in the event of failure YAA would be compelled to take stern action and would not be held responsible.
