Toyota ‘Q’ World in Guwahati

Toyota Kirloskar Motor formally inaugurated the Toyota ‘Q’ World exclusive auto show in Guwahati today morning amidst a lot of fanfare. Toyota ‘Q’ World at Udesna Cinema Complex at Dispur, Guwahati, drew large crowds today.
The participants included people from all walks of life, eager to see the much-awaited concept model of Toyota’s new compact car – Etios. The event swept a wave of excitement across Guwahati, with car enthusiasts and potential customers actively participating in it.
With the Etios concept – which is not just a India launch but also a world premier of the product, Toyota is set to enter the mass volume segment. To ensure maximum accessibility to the customers, Toyota will expand its sales/service network to about 150 dealers by the end of 2010.
The auto show event was conducted the whole day today and will continue tomorrow also with a lot of fun, games and other entertainment hosted by RJ, Raaj, from 11am to 9pm.
The MD of the local Toyota dealership, Gargya Toyota, Rahul Dev Sharma mentioned that they were overwhelmed by the public response and said the reason for this is Guwahati people’s appreciation for the legendary ‘Toyota Quality’. The occasion was also attended by Venkat Krishnan, DGM, Sales, and Sujit Raut, DGM, Product Planning of Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt Ltd.
Currently its best sellers Innova, Corolla Altis and Fortuner enjoy a market share of 22%, 50% and 53% respectively in Guwahati.
After the grand success of the world premiere of the Toyota Etios concept at the recently held Delhi Auto Expo, Toyota’s globally renowned quality and technology was brought to Guwahati.
Customers eagerly awaiting the launch of Etios concept got an opportunity to see the vehicle in their own city. The Delhi Auto Expo had customers coming to see the world premiere of Etios concept and its latest technology. However, the Toyota ‘Q’ World took this experience ‘to the customer’.
The exhibit included the newly launched Etios concept models (Sedan and Hatchback) and four more very interesting and exciting vehicles in the current line up of Toyota products namely, newly launched Prado Diesel, most popular vehicle in the SUV segment – Fortuner, world’s highest selling hybrid vehicle-The newly launched Prius, and of course Toyota best sellers the Corolla Altis and the Innova.
