An e-learning portal, TeachNext, was launched in Hope Academy by Additional Chief Secretary & Development Commissioner Alemtemshi IAS on Saturday.
This single classroom software product of Helix is based on CBSE syllabus which enhances the learning and teaching experience in the classroom. With inbuilt tests, exercises, experiments on various subjects, the software also provides 2d and 3d viewing experience.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, ACS & Development Commissioner Alemtemshi Jamir IAS congratulated the school authorities for introducing the e-learning software and bringing about a tech savvy environment in classes. He also pointed out that with the shrinking of the world into a global village, competition has only increased and that technology was unavoidable.
Dwelling on the subject of technological advancement and human core values, Alemtemshi said that changes were extremely important but not at the cost of human moral values and ethics.
The dedicatory prayer service was carried out by youth director Toshi Longkumer of DABA.
Later interacting with the administrator of the academy Sashila, it was learned that the e-learning software was introduced by the academy to enhance the learning experience of the kids.
When asked about the reason for choosing the portal, Sashila said that the curriculum index was a fine balance between the NBSE and CBSE syllabus. “We want to make the learning experience better for the kids” she averred.
