The NPF on Sunday lauded the efforts of DAN government under the leadership of state chief minister, Neiphiu Rio for its “policy of inclusiveness” in the process of growth and development.
The NPF press and media bureau lauded the chief minister especially for attending the District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meet of all 11 districts within a period of few weeks. The NPF said such venture was a first of its kind in the state which no other chief minister in the country might have undertaken so far. It also described the decision taken by the DAN to include representatives of tribal organisations and civil societies in the DPDBs as “a landmark decision.”
The NPF said the decision spoke volumes of the confidence placed on the civil societies which also demonstrated that the DAN coalition was a “people’s government.” It expressed hope that the DAN government’s state-wide exercise would bring up issues faced by the people at district and block levels to direct attention of the state government and higher authorities.
The NPF said that the efforts of Rio and DAN government showed the government’s continuous policy of taking development process to grass root levels and simultaneously making the state machinery and administration effective in providing services to the people.
It said the DAN government has “undoubtedly” exhibited that the people and the mass were the “real high command” by exercising such inclusive policies.
