DDCSD meeting
DIMAPUR: Dimapur District Congress Seva Dal (DDCSD) has informed that the Dal would hold a consultative meeting very shortly. Seva Dal chairman, Mahila organizer, Mahila organizing secretaries, additional lady organizer and organizing secretaries have been requested to contact the newly appointed Seva Dal chief organizer, Kevishel Viswentso at 9856899336.
DNSU forms FFC
DIMAPUR: Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) has set up a fact finding committee (FFC) with regard to recent allegations leveled against DNSU by Transporters and Drivers’ Council (TDC) Manipur. FFC would be headed by former DNSU & NSF president Phushika Aomi as chairman, RSUD president Panti Kamei as secretary along with five other members. Union in its 4th union assembly held on June 24 accepted resignation submitted by its games and sports secretary. DNSU informed that its FFC would investigate the TDC allegation and submit report to the union within a period of 15 days.
Yog training in Mkg
DIMAPUR: Patanjali Yog Samity Mokokchung Unit in collaboration with Patanjali Yog Committee would be organizing a yoga training programme from June 29 to July 1 at Tongdentsuyong and from July 2 -3 at Sangtemla Ward Community Hall from 5am- 6.30 am in the morning session and 4- 5:30pm in the evening session respectively. Those interested have been requested to avail the opportunity.
Training for pharmacist in Phek
DIMAPUR: One day training programme for sales personnel and pharmacist, organized by Drugs Control Cell under the establishment of Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Phek and sponsored by Pharmacies Association Phek was held on June 25 at CMO conference hall. According to a press statement, Dr. S. Hangsing, CMO Phek encouraged the trainees to be more vigilant in bringing medicines and further asked them not to issue cash memo without actually supplying medicines when any health officials from sub-centre comes to get medicines under communitised programme. Further, the resource persons were S. Lithungo Lotha, assistant drugs controller (Hq); Ethungbemo Ezung, drugs inspector Phek district and W.H. Patton, deputy drugs controller and president Nagaland State Pharmacy Council.
AR seizes contraband
DIMAPUR: Mobile patrol of 16 Assam Rifles (AR) under 5 Sector Assam Rifles of IGAR (N) seized 237 kgs of contraband ganja from two individuals travelling in a Maruti Omni Van from Mao to Dimapur near PHC on the outskirts of Jotsoma village on June 25. According to an official press statement, the apprehended individuals along with the recovery were handed over to South Police Station, Kohima.
31 A/C Cong new team
DIMAPUR: Newly elected President of 31st A/C Congress party and his colleagues have thanked MLA I. Kheto for his guidance and leadership. The party in its general body held on June 25 unanimously elected office bearers for the forthcoming tenure with Hosheto Awomi as president. vice presidents - Vizhekhu Maru & Vikheho Achumi, general secretaries - Mughato Sasta & Hethana, joint secretaries - Ihoshe Phushu, AYZ Anthony & Hokiye Mukha, Treasurer - Kakuto, Youth President - Vishepu Aye, Mahila President - Khesheli Kinny, NSUI president - Kapeto Kinny, Seva Dal president - Tokiho Kinny, ACCC executives - Tokiho Sasta, Ihoto Izheto, Khuvihe Chopy & Nihokhu Alaphu, DCC executives - Azheto Phushu & Khekuto Kinny. The new office bearers have reaffirmed its support towards the leadership of I. Imkong President NPCC and Tokheho Yeptho CLP leader.
NCRC general meeting
DIMAPUR: General meeting of all NCRC churches has been convened on June 29 at NCRC Campus, Riiveba, 7th Mile Chumukedima at 10am. All reverend, different department leaders, tribal council leaders and concern leaders have been requested to attend the meeting.
Condolence message
CSDD: Consumer society Dimapur district (CSDD) has expressed grief at the sudden demise of its member, Nihoto Chophy at Toluvi village on June 25. CSDD has conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
NECU: Nagaland Electrical Contractors’ Union (NECU) has mourned the demise of Hiehole Zao, mother of Elivil Zao, legal advisor NECU on June 24. The union further conveyed condolence to the bereaved family.
CTSU cleanliness drive
DIMAPUR: Chare town students’ union (CTSU) conducted cleanliness drive at chare town with a view to maintain hygienic atmosphere in and around the town. The students cleared the drainage picked up plastic on the wayside and repaired the road. Union made a clarion call to all citizens to have civic sense in order to keep the town clean by taking own initiative.

Dimapur: inauguration of online registration of employment exchange will be held on June 28, 12 noon at district employment office at Super Market complex Dimapur with Er. Saku Aier parliamentary secy. labour and employment and housing as chief guest.
