DNSU forms FFC
DIMAPUR: Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) has set up a fact finding committee (FFC) with regard to recent allegations leveled against DNSU by Transporters and Drivers’ Council (TDC) Manipur. FFC would be headed by former DNSU & NSF president Phushika Aomi as chairman, RSUD president Panti Kamei as secretary along with five other members. Union in its 4th union assembly held on June 24 accepted resignation submitted by its games and sports secretary. DNSU informed that its FFC would investigate the TDC allegation and submit report to the union within a period of 15 days.

DIMAPUR: Patanjali Yog Samity Mokokchung Unit in collaboration with Patanjali Yog Committee would be organizing a yoga training programme from June 29 to July 1 at Tongdentsuyong and from July 2 -3 at Sangtemla Ward Community Hall from 5am- 6.30 am in the morning session and 4- 5:30pm in the evening session respectively. Training for pharmacist in Phek
DIMAPUR: One day training programme for sales personnel and pharmacist, organized by Drugs Control Cell under the establishment of Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Phek and sponsored by Pharmacies Association Phek was held on June 25 at CMO conference hall. According to a press statement, Dr. S. Hangsing, CMO Phek encouraged the trainees to be more vigilant in bringing medicines and further asked them not to issue cash memo without actually supplying medicines when any health officials from sub-centre comes to get medicines under communitised programme. Further, the resource persons were S. Lithungo Lotha, assistant drugs controller (Hq); Ethungbemo Ezung, drugs inspector Phek district and W.H. Patton, deputy drugs controller and president Nagaland State Pharmacy Council.
AR seizes contraband
DIMAPUR: Mobile patrol of 16 Assam Rifles (AR) under 5 Sector Assam Rifles of IGAR (N) seized 237 kgs of contraband ganja from two individuals travelling in a Maruti Omni Van from Mao to Dimapur near PHC on the outskirts of Jotsoma village on June 25. According to an official press statement, the apprehended individuals along with the recovery were handed over to South Police Station, Kohima.

DIMAPUR: Chare town students’ union (CTSU) conducted cleanliness drive at chare town with a view to maintain hygienic atmosphere in and around the town. The students cleared the drainage picked up plastic on the wayside and repaired the road.
