In connection with the retrieval of a body June 27 morning from the railway track in Dimapur by GRPS personnel, the GPRN/NSCN Monday claimed that as per “preliminary report”, the deceased, who it said was its member, was murdered by “unknown person (s)” and left the body near railway track to make it appear like an accident. The GPRN/NSCN has declared that it would leave no stone unturned till “murderers” were brought to book. An e-mailed press statement issued by secretary to GPRN/NSCN Visheto Yeptho, through its MIP, stated that the deceased identified as one “capt. (retd.)” Visheto Swu, son of Zhelhoxu Swu of Khukiye Lukhai village, was working on probation in its central secretariat in the rank of under secretary. According to GPRN/NSCN, the deceased had retired from its military and opted to continue in civil set up. Meanwhile, the GPRN/NSCN has mourned the death of capt. (retd.)” Visheto Swu. “In his untimely death, Nagas have lost a true son of a soil,” it said.
