As per the decision of state level organising committee with regard to Red Ribbon Express (RRE) on July 1 and 2, Project Director NSACS Dr. Neiphi Kire has issued directives for two day informative and entertainment programme. The inaugural function of RRE will be held at Dimapur Station at 10 a.m. on July 1; RRE will consists of 8 coaches which will be opened for public daily from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m.; 40 volunteers will be deployed for crowd management and assist the activities in the coaches wherever necessary; NSACS exhibition stall will also be set up where IEC materials will be distributed to the public.
Concert will be organised at Railway Platform with the band Dementia’, Winner of Live Drive 2009, NSACS Red Ribbon Supper Band on July 1 at 2 p.m.; screening of films will also be organised at Railway Platform; in coach No. 5 (Auditorium-cum-Conference) training programme for Village Council Members, Health Care Workers/ANM (CMO), Church Leaders/FBOs (Joint Christian Forum, Dimapur), SHGs (Women Development department) on July 1 and on July 2 for AWW (Social Welfare Department), ASHA (NRHM), College RRC, Women groups (NMA); In coach No. 4 (NRHM)-6 ASHA co-coordinators from NRHM will be deputed for NRHM coach.
In coach No. 6 counseling-cum-medical services will also be conducted. The Project director further informed that Joint Director (BS), NSACS, Dr. Limaakum Jamir will co-ordinate with the officers and staff for the Railway Platform activities.
State level organising committee has also decided that the Bus Caravan Campaign will consist of two teams, which will visit various wards/villages in and around the Dimapur district. Project Director has also informed that there will be a briefing session on June 30 at Railways Platform No. 3 and further directed all in-charge/officers to be present at the venue at 2 p.m.
Meanwhile, highlighting the objectives of RRE, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan has appealed to all youth to extend cooperation during the two day programme.
