CANSSEA executive meeting
Kohima: An executive meeting of the Confederation of All Nagaland State Service Employees Association will be held on July 6 at 11 am at the CANSSEA office building Kohima to deliberate on various agendas including settlement of 6th RoP, collection and contribution of membership fee. Core group members, divisional units/sub-devisional units and all confederated service associations have been asked to send two official representatives to the meeting. Presidnet of CANSSEA, Dr. David K. Sema informed that agenda or issues, if any, can be submitted to the vice president, Kepelhoutuo Chusi (9856206744) ahead of the scheduled time.
Committee to study report on reservations
DIMAPUR: State government department of P&AR has constituted a committee to study and examine the report submitted by the committee on 12 reservations and to submit specific points for cabinet decision within 2 month with the following officers as committee members. Members of the committee would be headed by Commissioner & secretary P&AR, Temjen Toy as Chairman, other members include Commissioner & Secretary (Law), Tan-e Alam; Secretary (Law), K.M. Chishi; Joint Secretary (APC Cell), Raj Verma and EAC Commissioner Office and Kethosituo Sekhose as Co-opted member.
KBEPS golden jubilee meeting
DIMAPUR: Kyong Baptist Ekhumkho Pastorden Sanrhyu (KBEPS) has convened golden jubilee coordination meeting on July 6 at Wokha Town Baptist Church at 2pm. All golden jubilee committee members have been requested to attend the meeting.

LJP, INC joins NPF
DIMAPUR: LJP 44 A/C Phomching, Mon president Mowang Konyak with four households have tendered resignation from the party and joined NPF during the visit of Apong Pongener working president NPF to Nyahnyu village on April 6. NPF secretary N. Longhshah in a press release stated that besides LJP, two households from INC party tendered resignation and joined NPF.

NU seminar
DIMAPUR: Nagaland University (NU) vice chancellor has convened a seminar to discuss issues related to under graduate examination reforms and management on July 2 at SETAM conference hall, Dimapur at 10:30am. All the principals of affiliated colleges under NU have been requested to attend the seminar.
DAN informs NGOs
DIMAPUR: Development Association of Nagaland (DAN) has informed that Namzin Chame Child and Women Welfare Society, Peren; Cultural Club of Athibung and Integrated Rural Development Society, Jalukie have been selected and approved by district RCH society to function as field NGOs in Peren district under the Mother NGO scheme. Further, these selected NGOs have been requested to attend an orientation programme scheduled on July 14 to 15 at DAN office and for more details to contact on 03862-242219 (O) 9436602794 (D).
Naga Idol 5.10- Wokha District
DIMAPUR: District Partner for Wokha District, Naga Idol 5.10, Old timers is all set to declare District Local Hero Contest Cum-Concert on July 2 at Town Hall, Wokha. DC Kohima informs
DIMAPUR: DC and Principal Census Officer, Kohima, Bei-u Angami has informed to all citizens within Kohima Municipal area (KMC) and Sadar villages who are yet to be enumerated inadvertently, or otherwise, to report to charge officers in the office of the deputy commissioner, Kohima on or before the July 9.
Doubtful teachers to sign undertaking form
DIMAPUR: All Nagaland Aggrieved Adhoc Teachers’ Association (ANAATA) has directed all teachers under the category of “doubtful teachers” of DIS Dimapur and Niuland to sign the undertaking form within two days from the respective establishment. ANAATA president, Hekiye Lirika in a press release said the association should not be held responsible for the failure on the part of the teachers to sign the form.
INTACH clarifies on church dedication
DIMAPUR: Convenor of INTACH Padma. Sentila T. Yanger has clarified that the date of old church dedication at Molungyimsen village by late Rev Dr E.W. Clark should have been 1876 and not 1886 as was issued earlier on March. The officials of Architectural Division, INTACH New Delhi, along with its Nagaland Chapter, visited Molungyimsen village in March and conducted preliminary investigation and study for conservervation /preservation of the old wooden Church building. The convener clarified that inadvertent error was in no way indented to distort the historical facts or hurt anybody’s sentiments.
Christian forum Jalukie
DIMAPUR: Executive meeting of Christian forum Jalukie Area has been convened on July 9,10 a.m. at the residence of its President T.R. John at Jalukie Town. All members have been requested to attend the meeting.
CVC against tax collection
DIMAPUR: Chumoukedima Village Council (CVC) has caution any individual/organization/party from collection of tax-donation from shops and business of any form within its jurisdiction without prior information to village council. Stating that some unidentified persons were collecting donation/taxes within its jurisdiction, CVC cautioned that any person found indulging would be dealt with according to the law. CVC informed that it has authorized Chumoukedima village youth society to investigate any such incident within its jurisdiction and would deal with the most severe punishment for those person/persons found guilty.
Patkai BA, Bsc result
DIMAPUR: Result of recently concluded undergraduate examination (BA and Bsc.) of Patkai Christian College (Autonomous) have been declared on July 1. Students have been informed to avail results from the college website at and on the college notice board.
Meet on child, handicapped and disabled
DIMAPUR: Officers from Parent’s Association of Special Childs (Disabled/Handicapped) Nagaland, Kohima will be visiting Wokha on July 2 where a meeting/interaction with parents and Church representatives will be held at 11 a.m. at DC’s Conference Hall. All parents of special child and representatives from all local churches have been informed to attend the meeting. During the meeting, formation of district unit and selection of executive members will also be taken up.
DIMAPUR: An emergency meeting of Nagaland Police (Unarmed Branch) Non-Gazzetted Officers Association (NPNGOA) has been convened on July 3,11 am at Red Cross Conference hall (PR Hill) Kohima.
All office bearers and district representative officers have been requested to attend the meeting.
NH federal assembly
DIMAPUR: Naga Hoho federal assembly has been convened on July 16 at Mokokchung Ao Senden conference hall at 9am. All federating units have been requested to represent two members each in accordance of the Hoho constitution and to submit the agendas seven days ahead of the session for consideration by executive council.
