First coin vending machine lanched at Mokokchung

State Bank of India, Mokokchung Branch has launched Coin Vending Machine in its office on Thursday to mark the observance of State Bank Day.
With this, SBI Mokokchung Branch has become the first SBI Branch in the state to have such unique banking facility and hoped that it would help smooth cash transaction in the bank to a great extent, stated an official bulletin.
Branch Manager, Anup Dutta while launching the machine described the coin vending machine a ‘unique privilege’ for the people of Mokokchung district adding that SBI Mokokchung Branch is now equipped with all facilities to undertake banking transaction effectively.
Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Lithrongla G. Chishi who graced the occasion thanked Anup Dutta for his pro-active role in all social and development activities in the district and said Mokokchung district was fortunate to have such a dedicated person.
Appreciating his role in bringing modern banking facilities, the DC appealed to the manager to stress more on imbibing banking culture among the customers. Having seen all modern banking facilities in SBI Mokokchung Branch, Lithrongla said observance of State Bank Day would be a joint venture from next year to make it more meaningful. She also lauded the concern of the Bank for senior citizens and adoption of seven girl child by SBI who are given tuition fees@ Rs.500 per month. The tuition fees for one year to the seven adopted girl child were handed over by the Deputy Commissioner.
On the occasion, Anup Dutta announced that SBI Mokokchung Branch would offer a scheme to make ‘Year of Entrepreneur’ in the state meaningful and beneficial to entrepreneurs. He also disclosed that Longkhum village was adopted by SBI Mokokchung Branch as a model Bank village in the district and every year the bank would adopt one village.
