Naga delegate at World Expo, China

National Debate Champion, 2007, Keleseho S. Tsükrü, son of late Vikron Tsükrü of Khuzama Village, Kohima, the sole delegate from Nagaland, toured three major Chinese Cities -Shanghai, Hefei and Chongqing on a ten day official visit as part of Indian Youth Delegation from June 17– 27.
As per the joint declaration of Prime Minister of India and the President of The Republic of China, the International Youth Exchange Program was organized by Youth Affairs and Sports Ministry, government of India.
The delegation was led by Dr. M S Gill, Union Minister and Pratik Pratil, Union Minister of State. Other Officials included Secretary of the Ministry, Under Secretary and Diplomats at the Indian Embassy.
The main purpose of the visit was to promote mutual understanding of Values and Cultures and to develop better relations.
The delegation visited the famous World Expo Shanghai, Major Industries, Universities, Municipalities, etc., and had interactions and attended Official Banquets.
The team also visited major Tourist Spots and Museums.
The delegation comprised of Youths from diverse fields from across the country, including Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, National and International Artists and Youth Awardees, NYK and NSS Volunteers.
