State Bank of India, Kohima branch celebrated 55th State Bank Day on July 1 along with adopted girl children and pensioners.
Founder, Kohima Orphanage and Destitute Home, Zaputuo graced at the occasion. Zaputuo distributed a gift packet to each adopted girl child at the gathering. Seven girl child out of the nine adopted by the branch also attended the meeting.
Zaputao lauded State Bank for its yeomen service to the needy gild child and advised the children to be sincere in their studies, and added they were fortunate to have been chosen by the bank.
She also expressed gratitude to the bank for donating a Maruti van under the bank’s CSB scheme to her orphanage centre in previous year for transporting amenities to the inmates.
The branch also invited good borrowers namely universal SHG, Zakhama, Keihukolie and Kevivilie to share their success stories keeping in view with the state government’s declaration of ‘Year of Entrepreneur’, hoping to motivate the aspiring entrepreneurs.
