Indian Institute of Job-Oriented Institute (IIJT) conducted a seminar on Computer Accountancy on June 10 at IIJT Office Hall Kohima, which was attended by various entrepreneurs and government officials from different departments of Kohima. Giving the presentation, marketing executive –cum- Counsellor, Chubala Jamir explained the that demand for accountants grew by the day but there were not enough trained people to fill the vacancy. She explained that short fall was because of the digital age that had created the need for an entirely new breed of accountants, thus the need for computer accountancy.
IIJT Kohima is the first of its kind in the town where different computer accountancy courses were offered. Complete business accountant is one such course and it offers student a complete course in accounting starting from Computer Fundamentals, Advance Accounting, Financial Accounting Packages such as tally 9, fact and expert, taxation and other subjects related to accounting.
It is a 13-month course and offers a 100% job placement, she said. Franchisee Support Manager North-East, Somnath Chatterjee who also spoke at the seminar said that IIJT aims at bringing Computer Accountancy into daily life. He also said courses offered by IIJT are totally industry endorsed.
