Longsa village to observe ‘Year of priest’
DIMAPUR: In commemoration of year 2010 as ‘year of priest’, Longsa catholic church under Wokha district will be celebrating year of priest on June 13 at Longsa Catholic Church to be presided by Rev. Fr, Anto, parish priest of St. Paul Parish Wokha. All catholic faithful residing within the village and outside have been requested to attend the function.
Recognition of 4 villages under Kiphire
DIMPAUR: Reichem, Tukiavong, Latsu and Vitsuwong villages under Kiphire district jurisdiction have applied for registration under state government for village recognition. Informing this, DC Kiphire C.M Tsanglao issued public notice for claims and objections if any within 30 days from the date of publishing this press release to be submitted to DC office. On the expiry of the deadline, if no claims and objections were raised, the case would be forwarded to the government for recognition of the four villages, DC added.
Sitimi village GBs clarify on MNREGA fund
DIMAPUR: In response to news article on June 2 on misuses of MNREGA fund in Sitimi village, the GBs and general public of Sitimi village in a release signed by Suhokhu, head GB along with five other GBs have clarified that Tsalise Sangtam, chief agent to C.Kipili Sangtam MLA 59 A/C Sitimi-Seyochung to refund MNERGA fund does not arise.
Compressed mud block technology demo
KOHIMA: Department of Science & Technology will be organizing a training and demonstration on “Compressed Mud Block Technology” as low cost building material at new science and technology directorate complex, New capital complex Kohima from June 14 to 17. All interested person and enterprise are requested to register their names on June 14 by 10 am.
