KLNLF submits charter of demand to Chidambaram

A four member KLNLF team met the Union Home Minister of India, P. Chidambaram at New Delhi on Thursday and submitted a memorandum along with a charter of demand. The home minister ‘assured the KLNLF leaders of solving the political the problems of Karbi Anglong within a certain period of time.
It may be recalled that the four member KLNLF team had a meeting with P.C. Halder, Central Peace Interlocutor at the Sarder Patel Bhawan, Parliamentary Street few dats back.
The KLNLF team during the course of meeting formally placed its charter of demands to Halder. The four member group was represented by P. Dilli, Chairman, Chairman, KLNLF, Habe Tokbi, Vice Chairman, Thong Teron, General Secretary and Rijek Dera, Publicity Secretary.
The KLNLF team today had a prolonged one and half hours discussion with the Central Peace Interlocutor where they mentioned in detail regarding the present state of affairs in the district. Leaders of KLNLF requested Halder for early settlement of their charter of demand after placing the same.
It may be mentioned that the apex leaders of the Karbi Longri NC Hills Liberation Front (KLNLF) left for New Delhi for holding series of peace talks with the Union Government few days back.
The Karbi Longri NC Hills Liberation Front leaders led by its General Secretary also met the Chief Minister of Assam at his official residence at Koinya Dhara, Dispur recently.
