NPCC steering committee meet
DIMAPUR: Meeting of the steering committee members for celebration of Indian National Congress 125th years will be held on June 15, 10 a.m in the private residence of Tokheho Yepthomi, MLA and Congress Legislative Party Leader, Naharbari, Dimapur.
Dimapur entrepreneurs meeting
DIMAPUR: General meeting of Naga Entrepreneurs of Dimapur has been convened on June 15, 2 p.m at Highway 39, Go Karting. All Naga entrepreneurs interested in attending the meeting have been requested submit photo copy of respective trade license.
Dimapur 1 A/C members resign
DIMAPUR: Seven office bearers of ACCC1 Dimapur 1 A/C have tendered resignation from their respective posts. The resigned members include president, general secretary, two vice presidents, secretary, treasurer and general secretary. According to the seven signatories the resignation was unanimously tendered with immediate effect due to lack of cooperation and coordination with ACCC by the “concerned MLA”. The signatories have however stated that they would remain in the Congress party.
Dimensions to launch books
DIMAPUR: Dimensions Institute for Education & Research (DIER) would be launching two books ‘Learn Spoken English at Home’ and ‘Say the Right Word’ on June 15, at 10am at Dimensions Centre Circular Road, Dimapur. The two books would be released by Ketholenuo Angami Manuel.
DMHSS conducts devotional service
DIMAPUR: Dimapur Mission Higher Secondary School (DMHSS) conducted devotional service on Sunday in Dimapur Ao Baptist Church (DABA) as part of the school yearlong silver jubilee celebration. The highlights of the program were special number presented by the nursery kids and the school choir and brief school report was presented to the congregation by School Principal Dr.Imnainla and Aleminla, Assistant teacher of the school delivered the word of God. As the day was also observed as Prayer Day for the school, the senior pastor of the DABA, Rev.N.Tzüdir prayed for the management, staff and students of the school. It may be mentioned here that DMHSS is DABA sponsored school.
Orange plantation in Longleng
DIMAPUR: Agriculture Produce Marketing Committee (AMPC) chairman Taulang Phom on behalf of farmers of Longleng has expressed gratitude to parliamentary secretary (RD&REPA) S. Pangnyu Phom and NCP party leaders for taking up massive orange plantation programme covering 27 villages under Longleng district.
The programme was undertaken for the year 2010-2011 under the LADF scheme where about fifty lakh orange tree saplings were distributed to 5000 beneficiaries on June 10 and 11.
AMPC chairman has urged beneficiaries to plant the orange saplings judiciously as per instructions.
The chairman also requested agri and allied department to guide the farmers technically for proper maintenance of orange plantation.
