Japukong Students Conference (JKM), Changkikong Students Conference (CKM) and Tzurangkong Students Conference (TKM) reiterating its earlier demand to appoint the “deserving candidate” to the post of DIS Mangkolemba and the non-fulfillment of its genuine demands have informed all village students unit to stand in readiness for further course of action.
It may be mentioned that the three student bodies on June 7 set a three-day deadline to ADC Mangkolemba to appoint the “deserving candidate” Marchila to the post of DIS Mangkolemba.
The students gathered at the office complex and closed down the office of DIS Mangkolemba and were later lathi-charged by the police at the complex.
Later, the current DIS Mangkolemba, Yarang Pongen escorted by police broke open the lock and entered the office. Though the deadline contained in the memorandum was rejected by ADC Mangkolemba, who was also present at the site, the agitating students has decided to take its own course of action, if the candidate was not appointed within June 10.
