Rail service disrupted, Mizos told not to panic

Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department of Mizoram asked the people not to panic because of disruption of railway lines at North Cachar Hills section.
The Department however imposed restriction on drawal of petrol and diesel oil since June 10 afternoon.
According to official sources, all Petrol Pumps are instructed to issue 5 litres of petrol to all the two wheeler at a time, 10 litres to Maruti Cars, 20 litres to other category of light motor vehicles, 30 to City Bus, 20 to 407 Trucks and 100 litres to the Trucks. Special consideration is also given to Trucks carrying supply items.
As reported earlier, goods Train was derailed in a bridge between Damchhora and Bandarkhal stations last Wednesday night. According to the railway sources, restoration work may take not less than 10 days as the tract repair work involves restoration of the damage posts.
