Two-day workshop on citizen journalism and new media would be held at St. Joseph’s College, Jakhama on July 16 and 17. The workshop would aim at people actively working with marginalised communities with experience in advocacy and campaigning, and regional or international networks.
Workshop participants would be advocates, technologists, designers and strategists who have used or plan to use new technology tools and tactics in their campaigns. Participants need to have an aptitude for the use of technology tools and basic computer usage skills along with a track record of active involvement in rights advocacy initiatives.
Participants whose works center on the gathering, dissemination and design of information will benefit immensely. The workshop is being organized with technical support from Mahiti, Bangalore and Panos South Asia, Guwahati. Interested people may check for details or email Fr. Abraham Lotha at or contact 09613222362, 09868182079 for further details.
