SATSU increases taxi fare
DIMAPUR: Southern Angami Tata Sumo Union (SATSU) has increased taxi fares by Rs.5 and Rs.10 from each village from June 28 due to rise in fuel and spare parking prices. Union informed all public plying from Tata Sumo taxi that new taxi fare from Kohima-Phesama would be Rs.20, Kohima-Kigwema/Jakhama- Rs.25, Kohima-Viswema-Rs.30 and Kohima-Mao- Rs.50. Further, SAUTSU has requested the public to cooperate with the union.
DTE declares DEE results
DIMAPUR: Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) has informed that result for Diploma Entrance Examination (DEE) which was conducted in May has been declared. The result would be available at offices of DTE Kohima, Government Polytechnic Kohima, Institute of Communication & Information Technology Mokokchung and at department website: Meanwhile, department additional director & HOD, A. Kathipri has directed selected candidates to submit acceptance letter to office of Directorate of Technical Education on or before June 30, failing which their selection would be treated as ‘non-acceptable’.
ATC Ngwalwa informs patta holders
DIMAPUR: Ad-hoc Town Committee (ATC) Ngwalwa has informed that registration of patta holders of Ngwalwa town has been extended to June 30. Patta holders of the town have been requested to register at ATC Ngwalwa office.
NSSWB workshop on girl child
KOHIMA: Nagaland State Social Welfare Board(NSSWB) will be organizing a workshop on “Rights of the Girl Children and future implications of imbalanced sex ratio” on June 16, 9 am at DUDA guest house, Kohma.
TBYE one-day seminar
KOHIMA: Terogvunyu Baptist Youth Endeavour (TBYE) informed that there will be a one-day seminar on July 19 sponsored by Peliinyu. All the members are requested to reach the village by July 18.
KLCSU social work
DIMAPUR: Kohima Law College Student Union would be organizing a social work on June 16. Union informed that fines of Rs 200 on office bearers and Rs 100 would be imposed to the students on failing to participate in the social work.
WSH calls for cooperation
DIMAPUR: Western Sumi Hoho, President has requested all the frontal organizations, GBs and village authorities under its jurisdiction to extend cooperation to census enumerators and officials.
LAGCCA sales day
DIMAPUR: Lotha Assembly of God Church Christ Ambassador youth department, will be organising sales day on June 16 at super market in aid of musical instrument for the church.
RVC general meeting
DIMAPUR: Rengmapani Village Council (RVC) has convened a general meeting on June 19, 11am at Rengmapani panchayat hall. All village members residing outside the village have been requested to attend the meeting.
Don Bosco alumni meeting
DIMAPUR: Don Bosco Alumni Dimapur unit has convened its general body meeting on June 20, 5pm at Birla Sunlife Insurance Company conference hall, NSCB complex, Khermahal Dimapur. All members have been requested to attend the meeting.
RJD Dimapur-3 A/C meeting
DIMAPUR: RJD party Dimapur 3-A/C has convened a meeting on June 19, 10am at the residence of advocate L. Inazhe Sema. Constituency office bearers, mahila, youth, units and village level office bearers have been requested to attend the meeting.
NPF president appoints
DIMAPUR: Nagaland People’s Front (NPF) secretary general, K. G. Kenye has informed that NPF president, Dr. Shürhozelie has appointed forest minister, M. C. Konyak as ‘special invitee’ in the party’s working committee; P. Chingao Konyak to central executive committee (CEC) as member from Wakching A/C; and Dr. Y. Y. Kikon and Visevonuo as ‘permanent invitees’ to CEC with immediate effect.
NVC grateful
DIMAPUR: Nunumi Village Council (NVC) has expressed gratitude to Minister PWD (Roads & Bridges) G Kaito Aye for providing fund and dozer for construction of road from Nunu village to Chhizho Langki river. According to village council the road was a long felt desire for the village as it connected to the road from Saptiqa to Zunheboto.
CBCCDA seminar for children
DIMAPUR: Chakhesang Baptist Church Council Dimapur Area (CBCCDA) Sunday school department conducted a day long seminar on June 12 under the theme “Gaining His Favour” at Resource Centre (RC), Darogapathar. RC research director, Dr. Adela Mero; Harvest Ministry regional director, Suluveyi Rhakho; CBCCDA chairman, W. Kholie Kapfo; and RC executive director, Rev. Dr. Coppe Mero were speakers of the programme who covered various topics ranging from ‘mediocrity vs. excellence”, “issues facing modern children”, basic information about HIV and AIDS etc. Workshop on choreography, skit and card-making were also conducted. A total of 130 children participated in the programme.

DIMAPUR: VEC members, teachers and students of GPS Naga New Model Sema, Notun Bosti Dimapur have expressed gratitude to St. Jude School headmaster/proprietor for allowing them to conduct classes from April 5 to May 31 during construction of one room extension at the GPS.

Dimapur to host CIF programme
DIMAPUR: Dimapur district administration will be organizing a program on Childline India Foundation at Deputy Commissioner’s Office conference Hall on June 17, 11 a.m. Resource person from the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India will attend the program to highlight about the introduction and expansion of Childline India Foundation. ADC Sedevikho Khro has requested media personnel of Nagaland, all heads of offices, GRPS, RPF (Railway), BSNL, Special Home & Observation Home (Juvenile Home), Juvinial Justice Board (JVV), SIO/DIO, National Informatics Centre, Dimapur, district education office, S.P. Dimapur, deputy labour Commissioner, project director NCLP, Dimapur, District welfare department, women cell (Police), child welfare NGO’s, Dimapur to attend the meeting.
NNC executive council meeting
DIMAPUR: NNC has informed all central executive council members and the veterans to attend the central executive council meeting scheduled on June 22 at Oking. According to NNC information and publicity NNC would deliberate on important decision for the interest and betterment of the people at the critical juncture of political history in the home front and abroad. NNC also informed that decision deliberated in the meeting be final.
Respective region of the NNC have been requested to contact central office for necessary arrangement and convenience of the members.
Functions at Mkg play ground restricted
DIMAPUR: DC, Mokokchung, Lithrongla G. Chishi has issued an order restricting on oganising functions at Imkongmeren Sports Complex without prior approval from District Sports Officer. District administrative in an order dated June 14 informed all resident of Mokokchung town and surrounding villages that no individual or group of people would be allowed to use public ground without approval. As per the order, any individual or group who violate the order would be dealt with as per provision of the law.
ANPSTA Peren unit general meeting
KOHIMA: General meeting of All Nagaland Pre-Service teachers Association (ANPSTA) Peren unit informed has been convened on June 19,11 am FITA office to discuss matters relating to the ensuing agitation called by All Nagaland Pre-Service teachers Association on June 22. All the PSTE trained personnel under Peren district have been informed to attend the meeting.
