Sincere workers felicitated

Kohima District Planning Development Board (DPDB) on Tuesday felicitated two traffic constables, one nurse and pharmacist for their untiring contributions to the society.
Duhokhole, ANM from Seithogei sub-centre was awarded as ‘Best Nurse’, Zakiesolie Vielie, Pharmacist from Peducha Sub-centre awarded ‘Best Pharmacist’; and ‘Best Traffic Police’ was awarded to Khangalung, traffic constable of North Police Station and Imlionen, traffic constable of South Police Station.
Chairman of Kohima DPDB and advisor ITTE Vikho-o Yhoshü congratulated the recipients and acknowledged them for making a difference in the lives of people.
Member of DPDB and chairman NKVIB, Dr. Nicky Kire distributed certificates of appreciation and a cash award of Rs. 3000/- each to the recipients and encouraged them to continue with the good works.
Speaking on criteria of choosing the awardees, officer representative from the medical department, Kohima CMO Dr. L. Ralte said after various screening, selection was done on the basis of devotion, punctuality, sincerity, report keeping and services in communitization. DSP (T) M. Kapfo from Police Department said that the two awardees were chosen based on their discipline, physical turn-out, effectiveness in regulating traffic jams, integrity and devotion to their duty by following traffic rules.
At the meeting, the board reviewed and approved for recommendation of grant-in-aid for Oking School, Kohima and Children’s Christian School, Kohima and deliberated on up-gradation of GMS Tseminyu Town to GHS. (with inputs from DIPR)
