Community monitors oversee census at Mkg

Five members of Community Monitors for Census Operations 2010-11 in Nagaland state reached Mokokchung town on June 15 to oversee ongoing census operations in Mokokchung district. The visit of the Community Monitors is aimed at ensuring accurate census and quality data collection.
The members held a meeting with leaders of various frontal organizations including Ao Senden, Watsu Mungdang AKM, All Ward Union and Gaon Boras Union at DC’s conference hall under the chairmanship of DC Mokokchung, Lithrongla G.Chishi.
The meeting discussed issues related to census operations and the visiting members called upon the community leaders of Mokokchung district to extend their cooperation for transparent census operations in the district. The members visited number of villages in and around Mokokchung town on their arrival and checked data being collected in the field. They also met charge Officers under whom the Phase 1 census is conducted. On Wednesday the visiting members visited n Asetkong and Langkong Ranges before they left for Longleng.
Five members of Community Monitors include Hurui, Deputy Speaker, Naga Hoho, Limivi Sangtam from ENSF, Lochumbeni Humtsue, Secretary, NMA, Sashi Naga, Vice President, ENPO and A.Taku Longkumer, General Secretary, Nagaland Gaon Bora Federation.
