Jesus Youth Movement Kohima unit from Christ King, St. Francis De Sales and St. Mary’s Cathedral Parishes embarked on a pilgrim walk to Pulebadze on July 10, under the theme “To experience God in me, the God in you and the God in nature” with 33 members taking up this faith journey.
It may be noted that Jesus Youth is a movement spread all over the world, at the service of the church. The Pilgrim walk began with the members gathering at the taxi stand near Kohima Science College.
The team was divided into six groups where reflections from the scripture were organized in their respective group. The reflection helped each member to be aware of their life with Jesus. The group had prepared in advance the helpful attitudes for the journey as a pilgrim such as generosity; reverence and the work of God in ones own life.
On three intervals during the journey, the clusters gathered in their own respective cells to reflect spiritual gifts like ‘Peace’ and the grace to have a deep awareness of how one is loved by God; ‘Courage’ and the grace to hear the call of Jesus and be ready to follow where he leads me; ‘Trust’ and the grace to know Jesus more clearly, love him more dearly and follow him more nearly.
When the team reached the summit of the mountain, a Holy Eucharist was celebrated, presided over by Rev. Fr. Benny Varghese, secretary to Apostolic Administrator, Kohima diocese.
Rev. Fr. Paul Inashe OFM. Cap, shared the word where ee said relationships strengthen with the bond in Jesus. The journey was memorable as part of the preparation for the Jubilee celebration of the Jesus Youth Movement.
