PTS combined attestation parade

A total of 14 ASIs including one female, first ever batch of six women Town Head Constables (THC) and 18 computer operators including seven females were formally inducted into Nagaland Police at PTS Chumukedima, Friday. DIG (Training & Border) Viccashe Sumi was the chief guest for the ceremonial attestation parade.
Congratulating the personnel, the chief guest welcomed them into the force and called upon them to be diligent in their duties. “Deal firmly without any partiality or tribalism while discharging your duties” he said. The DIG also impressed upon the personnel, the hard realities of life which they would face while carrying out their duties.
PTS Principal V Z Angami in his report said that the ASIs and THCs were trained in weapons handling, riot control drill, cordon and search, major and minor acts, crime investigation etc.
The oath of allegiance was administered to the personnel by the vice-principal of PTS.
Meanwhile, the award winners from all the courses were as follows;
ASIs- Best in Turn out – L Moa Aier (DEF Mon), best in drill and weapons handling – Chubanungba Ao (DEF Mon), best in firing – Dietso Mero (IGP, INT), best in PT – Watimongba Amri (DEF Mkg), Exemplary Conduct – Bokivi V Swu (DEF Tsg) and all round best – S Renthungo Yanthan (DEF, Mkg).
THCs – Best THC trainee- Kuthovolu Chkg, DEF Kma.
Computer Operators – Best in turn out – K Levinuo Angami, 15 NAP (IR) Mahila Bn, best in out door training – T Imliakum Jamir, 9th NAP (IR), 10th NAP (IR), good conduct – Hav Alok Kumar, 6th NAP, all round best and best in legal studies- Nk. Girish Nair.
