Kewong range youth training underway in Kuthur village

A three-day Kewong range youth training organized by Yimchungrü Baptist Borü Amukhongto Youth department got underway on Saturday at Kuthur Baptist church under the theme ‘Christian youth faith and to identify work’.
The sports and games activities was declared open on July 17 by Shellumthong, vice president of Yimchungrü Tribal Council as chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest urged the youth to be sincere and develop spiritually in order to compete in various forms of activities with the rest of the society. Commenting that youth were the leaders of tomorrow, he encouraged the youth to utilize their talent for the uplift of society.
He also said youth were the only source of hope and aspiration for common aspects and in uplifting today’s society, and also made a donation to the organizers.
The resources persons of the training included Berila Tokiu, 3rd NAP Tuensang, Visheli Hopung, Tuensang and H. Tokiu Youth Secretary YBBA.
Altogether, 14 villages participated the three day training which would culminate on July 18. The worship team was led by Kuthur Baptist Borü CYE.
Judges of the competition were J. Shophu Kiusorü village, R. Yimkhong Tuensang and Tsurito pastor Tshotokur village, while the judges for sports and games were S. Yankiuba PET GHS Kuthur and Kheanji PET Tuensang.
