SIT establish 1040 teachers as bogus and 1085 absentee teachers
Nagaland Minister for School education Nyeiwang Konyak said the SIT could establish 1040 teachers as bogus and 1085 absentee teachers.
Congress MLA Chingwang questioning the minister wanted to know what actions were taken to recover the amount drawn by them as their salaries and allowance.
In his written reply, the minister said that department was examining the feasibility for the recovery of amount drawn by bogus category of teachers.
Relief and rehabilitation
Parliamentary secretary for relief and rehabilitation S. Heno said the central government had sanctioned an amount of Rs.8.47 crore for drought related programme under the scheme of National Calamity Contingency Fund (NCCF) against Rs.21.12 crore recommended by the Inter Ministerial team of the government of India.
In a written reply to Congress MLA Joshua, S. Heno said that the state government has received only Rs.8.47 crore and the balance of Rs.12.65 crore is to be adjusted from the 75% of the outstanding fund under the CRF. Since the state has objection in adjusting form CRF , the fund could be released. The amount is deposited in the CRF account.
Further he said that the Relief Rehabilitation & Disaster Management Branch under home department is the nodal department.

Grants under horti technology mission
The total amount granted to state government by government of India under the Horticulture Technology Mission during 2006-07, 2007-08, 2008-09 and 2009-10 are as follows:
2006-07-Rs. 2000.00 lakhs; 2007-08 -Rs. 2500.00 lakhs; 2008-09 -Rs. 2450.00 lakhs and 2009-10 -Rs. 3950.00 lakhs
Parliamentary Secretary, Horticulture, R. Khing in a reply to a starred question during assembly session also presented the total subsidy amount granted during 2006-07, 2007-08, 2008-09 and 2009-10 as follows: 2006-07 - Rs. 348.00 lakhs; 2007-08 -Rs. 472.50 lakhs; 2008-09 - Rs. 346.38 lakhs and 2009-10- Rs. 383.00 lakhs.
Govt sanction for drought related programmes
In a reply to a question, Parliamentary Secretary for Relief Rehabilitation and Disaster Management, S. Heno said central government had sanctioned an amount of Rs. Eight crores, forty seven lakhs for drought related programmes under National Calamity Contingency Fund (NCCF) against Rs. 21.12 crores recommended by the Inter Ministerial Team, Government of India. He said the balance amount of Rs. 12.65 crore is to be adjusted from the 75% of the outstanding fund under the CRF. Since the state had objected in adjusting from CRF the fund could not be released. The amount was deposited in the CRF account and relief rehabilitation & disaster management branch under home department is the nodal department.
Rs. 28.67 lakhs sanctioned for Shiyong minor irrigation project
While replying to a question at 7th session of the 11th Nagaland Legislative Assembly Parliamentary Secretary for Irrigation & Flood Control, Y. Patton stated amount of Rs. 28.67 lakhs has been sanctioned against Shiyong Minor Irrigation Project in Mokokchung district under AIBP and the first phase has been completed. He said Shiyong Minor Irrigation Project, which is located at Aliba village Jhum area, is about a kilometer below the Mariani – Mokokchung highway at walk able distance from the marketing shed located between Chungtia village and New Camp.
