LPG racket busted in Kma

Kohima police on Tuesday busted an LPG black marketing racket and illegal sale of alcohol from a pan shop at Midland colony.
Based on specific information, personnel of the North Police Station, Kohima led by its officer-in-charge Inspector N Chadi raided three different stores of Sunil Pan Shop and recovered 10 LPG cylinders along with 31 gas connection cards of different gas agencies.
Police also recovered nine cases of IMFL including Scotch, Whisky and Rum from the same stores run by the same pan shop owner. In this regard, three persons including Sunil Kumar Yadav (30), Ajai Kumar Rai (20) and Umesh Rai (35) were arrested and case registered.
According to police, the accused has confessed that the gas connection cards were collected from different persons and refilled LPG cylinders from various gas agencies. The refilled LPG cylinders were sold in the black market at the rate of Rs.850 to Rs.900 per cylinder.
