Uniform introduced for ANTA Zunheboto
DIMAPUR: In a first of its kind, uniform for members of All Nagaland Taxi Association of Zunheboto unit was formally introduced by DC Zunheboto T Kiheto Sema on July 20. The uniform was brought about under the initiative of ZTC advisors. The launching programme was attended by CCFZ chairman, taxi owners and drivers, ZTC advisors and public leaders.
NU adds deptt. to B.Tech course
DIMAPUR: In connection with allocation/reservation of seats for B.Tech course at School of Engineering & Technology, Nagaland University Dimapur, university deputy registrar (academic), Pranab Kumar Sarkar has informed that besides the departments of biotechnology; computer science; electronic & communication; and information technology, the course would also include department of agricultural engineering & technology.
Submission of Wokha office profile
DIMAPUR: All head of offices under Wokha district have been informed that draft plan booklet of Local Area Development Programme (LADP) 2010-11 incorporating the introduction and various development data information of the district was under preparation.
In this connection, all HoD’s have been requested to submit respective office profile up to date (ie. office functionaries, main activities, work programme etc) with brief write up related to jurisdiction and district level. The last date for submission of write up has been fixed on July 27.
CMS lauds mat
DIMAPUR: Management board chairman of Christina Memorial School (CMS) Aoyimti Dimapur have acknowledged tests undertaken by Mayangnokcha Award Trust (MAT) and conferring “coveted” two star grade to CMS in recognition of quality educational standards and infrastructure available at the school.
TDATA meeting
DIMAPUR: Tuensang district adhoc teachers association (TDATA) has convened an executive meeting on July 30, 12 noon at the residence of union treasurer, near GHSS Tuensang. All the office bearers and executive members have been requested to attend the meeting.
WSBPF meeting
DIMAPUR: Western Sumi Baptist Pastors fellowship (WSBPF) has convened a meeting on July 29, 9 am at the residence of banker. All area chairman, members and advisor have been requested to attend the meeting.
DLVSU meeting
DIMAPUR: Dimapur Lotsu village student union has convened a general meeting on July 24, 2 pm at the residence of Nchum Ranthan, Duncan basti. All members have been requested to attend the meeting.
KBPF to launch fellowships
DIMAPUR: Kohima Baptist Pastors’ Fellowship (KBPF) has informed that New Secretariat Nagamese Baptist Fellowship service would be launched on July 25, 1.30pm at NBCC Convention Centre, while launch of Pastors, Doctors & Nurses’ Fellowship would be held on July 29, 1pm at NHAK auditorium. All senior pastors, pastors, associate pastors and assistant pastors have been requested to attend both programs.
ZSUN plantation programme
DIMAPUR: ZSUN conducted ‘plantation programme’ on July 17 from new Peren district to Mongleuki River.ZSUN has thanked DFO Peren range, Samuel Changkija for his support and for issuing saplings for plantation, senior leaders and volunteers from Jalukie valley, and well wishers for the support.
KTBWU meeting
DIMAPUR: Kohima Town Baptist Women Union (KTBWU) has informed that a meeting of all the associate pastors (W)/women leaders/ chairpersons, representatives, fund raising committee and officer bearers/ advisors of KTBWU would be held on July 24, 11 am at Union Baptist Church (UBC), Kohima.
KKGK meeting
DIMAPUR: Kulolau Khukishe Ghami Kuposhukulu (KKGK) has convened a meeting on July 24 at 10 am at its office. All its office bearers have been asked to attend the meeting positively.
STKK meeting
DIMAPUR: Satakha range student union (STKK) has convened an emergency executive meeting on July 24, 9am at the residence of union banker, Satkha town. All office bearers have been requested to attend the meeting.
NASU council meeting
Kohima: First presidential council meeting of Northern Angami Students Union (NASU) has been convened on July 24, 11 a.m am at NAPO building Keziekie. All the unit presidents and general secretaries have been requested to attend the meeting.
Satakha congress party reorganized
DIMAPUR: Satakha 36 A/C congress has informed that the party has been reorganized as per direction from higher authority of the party, for change of guard both in village congress committee (VCC) and area congress committee (ACCC) levels. The new team of 10 office bearers for the tenure 2010-13 would be headed by Vitoho A. Zhimomi as president and Hokato A. Zhimomi as general secretary. Party also elected eight members as ACCC representatives to DCC, while former congress candidate, T. Inavi Zhimomi has been selected as PCC member against existing vacancy for the term 2010-13.
ASUD condemns July 9 incident
DIMAPUR: Ao student union Dimapur (ASUD) strongly condemned the act of Rohit Khare, commanding officer, 9 Assam rifles Mokokchung for allegedly destroying the Mangmetong historical monument on July 9. ASUD appealed to higher authorities and district administration to look into the matter at the earliest.
Kohima ANPSA new office bearers
DIMAPUR: ANPSA Kohima unit held a general meeting at Don Bosco higher secondary school Kohima. ANPSA elected six members, Nzanbeni Tsopae, President and Abalie Medoze, general secretary for the tenure 2010 to 2013.
VCM grateful
DIMAPUR: Village Council Merangkong (VCM) has expressed gratitude to Nagaland chief minister, Neiphiu Rio and NBDA advisor & MLA, L. Temjen Jamir for implementing various developmental works for the benefit of Merangkong village. Citing the black-topping of approach road from Tentsu Tsubo to Merangkong rest house under Special Road Development Fund, and construction of primary health centre under National Rural Health Mission as “most noteworthy” among other developmental initiatives, VCM also thanked officials of responsible departments for ensuring completion of work without compromising the quality of work.
GB union to receive Queen’s Baton members
DIMAPUR: Deputy commissioner, Dimapur, Maongwati Aier has informed members of GB Union Dimapur to assemble at Clock Tower on July 24 latest by 8:30 to receive the members of Queen’s Baton relay members and follow them up to DDSC Stadium. All members have been requested to be present by wearing GB’s waistcoat as attendance would be taken.
NCSU Phek demands quality work
DIMAPUR: Phek district Nagaland Contractors and Suppliers Union (NCSU) in its meeting held on the July 10 at Hotel Fira Kohima, deliberated on the issues relating to all ongoing construction works under Phek district. The unit has urged the contractors to deliver quality work, as the union would be checking on poor workmanship under its jurisdiction by approaching the responsible department.
The union also directed the BRO for immediate implementation of the collapse bridge at Sazuru below R.D Block under Phek district. It also informed all the registered contractors to immediately renew their registration within the given stipulated time.
