A three day training programme on first aid for church workers organised by Disaster Cells Management ATI got underway on Wednesday at ATI complex Kohima.
Keeping in view for self help measures to have skills in any emergency situation, ministry of home affairs government of India, home department government of Nagaland and disaster management cell ATIs called on all church workers to impart skills in the event of any disaster.
The course included basics in disaster management, basic theoretical first aid, mock drill, bandaging, fracture and bleeding.
Resource persons were Associate Professor Disaster Management Cell ATI, Er. N. Moa Longkumer and first aid trainer Central Training Institute Toluvi Dimapur, Deepak Lama. Representatives from various churches in Kohima attended the course.
