Tuensang’s oldest man passes away

One of the oldest men among the Sangtam tribe, Nukshiba Sangtam, passed away in Tuensang Thursday. He was 106 and is survived by 11 children, 65 grandchildren and 117 great-grandchildren. Late Nukshiba who served in various posts during his lifetime including DB from 1956-70 and pastor in Longkitpe and Tsatanger, would be laid to rest Friday at Tuensang. Meanwhile, mourning the demise of Nukshiba Sangtam, the state chief minister Neiphiu Rio described late Nukshiba as a dedicated and forthright person whose contributions as a Do Bashi (DB) were invaluable.
