DPS meeting
DIMAPUR: Timing for the proposed meeting of Dimapur Phughi Sumi (DPS) Sub-Hoho public convened on July 24 has been rescheduled from 9 am to 3 pm. The meeting will be held at IMC Hall, Dimapur to discuss matters relating to selection of chairman, Dimapur Phugi Sumi Sub-Hoho (DPSSH). All Sumi GB, colony, village chairman, secretary, public leaders and advisors (DPSSH) have been informed to attend the meet.
ANCSF meeting
DIMAPUR: All Nagaland Co-operative Societies Federation (ANCSF) general meeting cum release of its first constitution would be held on July 28, 11am at Hotel Grandeur, near All India Radio station, Kohima. MLA and advisor Co-operation and Sericulture, government of Nagaland, Azheto Zhimomi would be the chief guest and the federation has requested all to attend the programme.
Wokha DPDB meeting
DIMAPUR: Members of Wokha district planning and development board has convened a special DPDB meeting for finalization Of LADP 2010-2011 on August 3, 11 am at deputy commissioner conference hall, Wokha. Deputy Commissioner Wokha, has informed all district legislators and DPDB members have been requested to attend the meeting.
GYCD meeting
DIMAPUR: Gorkha youth club Dimapur has convened emergency meeting on July 25, 10:30 am at headquarter Thahekhu. All elected officer bearers, ex-office bearers and members have been requested to attend the meeting.
PDGBA meeting
DIMAPUR: Peren District Gaon Burah Association (PDGBA) has convened executive meeting on August 3, 10 AM at Jalukie town council hall. All executive members have been requested to attend the meeting.
Bio-diversity w’shop
DIMAPUR: Ao Students’ Union Kohima (ASUK) is organizing one-day workshop on bio-diversity and entrepreneurship on July 24 at state academy hall, Kohima. The event would be held with Lalthara IAS, chief secretary to the Government of Nagaland and Temsuwati, additional development commissioner, planning & co-ordination as special guest. The union has requested all the students to reach the venue by 9.30 am and also invited parents and well wishers in the workshop.
All NGOs to furnish datas
DIMAPUR: Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, National Accounts division has ordered all Non Governmental Organisations (NGOs) across the country to furnish required data, in the prescribed form. In accordance to which all NGOs of Nagaland have been informed to collect the form and file their data for compilation, at the office of district statistical officer, Dimapur.
Registration of electrical contractors
Kohima: Registration and renewal of electrical contractors, supervisors and workmen will be carried out at the electrical inspectorate starting from the month of April and May every year. However, chairman of Nagaland Electrical Licensing Board stated that a special case of mid session registration of contractors would be opened upto September 15. This was informed in a notification issued by electrical inspectorate.
Water pipe damaged in Jotsoma
Kohima: Executive engineer, PHED has informed all W/S consumers of Kohima town that a main pipe line 300 mmdia C.I. pipe at Science College has been severely damaged by landslide on July 21. The department stated that it would take at least ten days to repair the disrupted portion for restoration of water supply to consumers. All consumers of Kohima have been requested to bear with the inconvenience.
Free anti-rabies vaccination
DIMAPUR: Free anti-rabies vaccination for dogs and cats will be conducted on July 24 from 8 a.m to 12 noon at Animal Concern, near Zinyu Gas Service, Circular road, Dimapur. For details interested persons can contact 9206112784/ 9436073447.
Tractors & power tillers under CMCF
DIMAPUR: Minister for Planning, T.R. Zeliang said from 2004 till date, the government had distributed 137 tractors and 198 power tillers to progressive farmers in the state. Stating this in a reply to a starred question on the second day of assembly session, the minister said selection was made on the basis of need, potential and capacity to enhance agricultural productivity.
DTO on vehicle registration display
DIMAPUR: Reminding general public on the form and manner of display of registration marks on motor vehicles as per Central Motor Vehicles Rules 1989, RTA secretary and district transport officer (DTO) Dimapur has informed that letters of registration should be written in English and figures in Arabic numerals. Registration display for personalized vehicles have been directed to bear black letters/numerals on white background while commercial vehicles should bear black letters on yellow background. Stating that this order would be enforced with immediate effect.
ATAN clarifies
DIMAPUR: ATAN has clarified a news item which appeared in this local daily on July 21 under the caption “ATAN plea for final result of investigation” that the fifth paragraph should be read as “ATAN reiterated that their appointments were accepted after proper confirmation from the Directorate and their salaries were disbursed through proper channel as per government guidelines” and not as published.
EAP in Mokokchung
DIMAPUR: In relation with declaration of year 2010-2011 as ‘Year of the Entrepreneur’ by state government, district industries centre Mokokchung organized an Entrepreneurship Awareness programme (EAP) at Town Hall Mokokchung on Thursday.
The objective of EAP is to identify, select and train genuine entrepreneurs. An official bulletin informed that 100 potential entrepreneurs would be selected from Mokokchung district after which they would be sent to the Institute of Entrepreneurship, Guwahati for further training.
The Awareness programme was sponsored by the stated department of industries and commerce.
