Indian air force recruitment rally at Jorhat

Indian air force recruitment rally would be held at Jorhat from July 31 to August 5 for recruitment to Group ‘Y` (except auto tech, GTI and IAF (P)) trades and group ‘X` (technical) trades for unmarried male of all seven states of the North-Eastern region Air Force School, Air Force Station Jorhat (Assam).
The recruitment tests would be conducted from 7 am every day of the recruitment rally. On July 31, written test and physical fitness test (PFT) for Group ‘Y’, on August 1, interview and medical examination of candidates who have passed the written test and PFT held, on August 2, written test and PFT for Group ‘X` (technical) trades, August 3, interview of candidates who have passed the written test and PFT and trade allocation test (TAT) and medical examination for candidates who have qualified in the interview would be conducted.
To be Eligible for recruitment to the Group ‘X` trade, candidates should be born between 01 Jul 1989 and 30 September 1993 (both days inclusive), minimum height of 152.5 cm, should have passed the intermediate / 10+2 examination with pass marks in Mathematics and Physics with a minimum of 50% marks in the overall aggregate Or should have passed a 3 years diploma course in engineering (mechanical/electrical/electronics/automobile/computer science/instrumentation technology/information technology) with at least 50% marks in overall aggregate from a Govt recognized polytechnic institute.
To be Eligible for recruitment to the Group ‘Y` (Except Auto Tech, GTI and IAF (P) trades), candidates should be born between 01 Jul 1989 and 30 September 1993 (both days inclusive), minimum of 152.5 Cm, must have passed the intermediate / 10+2 / equivalent examination with Science, Arts or Commerce subjects with Minimum 50% marks in the aggregate and pass marks in each subject or 3 years diploma in any stream of Engineering, from a Govt recognised polytechnic institute.
Vocational courses conducted by CBSE and Kerala Board recognized by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) are also eligible.
According to defence release candidates must have the following documents: HB pencil, eraser, sharpener and black/blue ball point pen for writing, seven copies of recent passport-size Colour photographs, taken on or after 30 April 2010, front portrait, without headgear (except for Sikhs).
The photographs should be only on good quality ‘photo paper`; two un-stamped self addressed (24 x 10 cm) white envelopes, all original educational as well as NCC certificates (if applicable) and marks-sheets with three photostat copies each.
Candidates must have passed the qualifying examination from the recognized boards from the states of North-Eastern Region or should fulfill the domicile requirements, as applicable to the states of North-Eastern Region (Domicile certificate issued by SDM/DM/executive magistrate Or any official authorised by the state governments of the North-Eastern Region, only would be accepted.
Sons of serving/retired/discharged/deceased air force personnel, irrespective of their domicile status may be permitted to appear in the rally, subject to submission of `son of air force personnel’ certificate as a proof in the following categories : Father / mother is presently serving in any air force unit, located in the specified districts of the State of North-Eastern Region(ii), Ex-IAF personnel/families of deceased personnel who are residing in the specified districts of the States of North-Eastern Region (on production of proof of minimum stay of one year, original and one photocopy of discharge book.
All India Select List (AISL), will be displayed on October 31at No 11 Airmen Selection Centre, Guwahati (Assam). A copy of the display list would be sent to office of district magistrate of Jorhat and also will be available at Indian Air Force website www.indianairforce.nic.in
