DDK commissioned programme
KOHIMA: Doordarshan has announced commissioned programme for the year 2010-11 for all North-East Kendras under commissioned guidelines. Private empanelled producers/directors (Category A &B) have been informed to check the details from the notice boards of Doordarshan Kendra, Kohima and All India Radio, Kohima and also log on to for all details.
Free medical camp at Apeto Bazaar
DIMAPUR: Red Ribbon Express would be organizing free medical camp at Apeto Bazaar, Padum Pukhuri on July 5 from 11 a.m onwards. Chairman, Padum Pukhuri Council Vitoka Sumi has informed all residents of Padum Pukhuri to avail the opportunity.
Longleng DPDB meet
DIMAPUR: Monthly District Planning & Development Board meeting will be held on July 6, 11 a.m at DC’s conference hall. All members have been informed to attend the meeting.
AASU meeting
DIMAPUR: Meeting of Aghünaqa Area Students’ Union (AASU) has been convened on July 9 at the residence of its banker Tohoi village Dimapur.
ICICI to issue health cards
DIMAPUR: ICICI Lambard Health Cards for Mokokchung district would be issued from July 15 to 24 at District Industries Centre (DIC) office during office hours. Applicants of card renewal have been informed to collect their cards.
APMC chairmen, secretaries meeting
DIMAPUR: Emergency meeting of all Chairman and Secretaries of Agricultural produce marketing committees (APMC) would be held on July 9, 11 am at NSAMB office complex, NE expo site, 4 Mile, Dimapur. All chairmen and secretaries of APMC have been requested to attend the meeting with the reports of loan recovery statement, ARMARKNET reporting status, business activities status report and produce marketable surplus availability report.
USSC presidential meeting
DIMAPUR: The 4th presidential meeting of United Sangtam Students’ Conference (USSC) has been convened on July 8; 9 a.m at USSC headquarter Kiphire. All affiliated unit presidents and area presidents have been requested to attend the meeting. Further, USSC would be drafting its programme for 63rd USSC general conference on July 9 at USSC headquarters Kiphire and conference would to be hosted by Kiphire area. USLB, USGOA, USBLA, AST, leaders of apex organization from Sangtam community and area students’ presidents have been requested to attend 63rd USSC general session programme drafting.
NPF women wing meeting held
DIMAPUR: Presidential meeting of NPF women wing Wokha division was held on June 30 at its head office, Wokha. The meeting was attended by central women wing secretary, president 40 A/C women wing and vice president 38 A/C women wing.
KBEPS golden jubilee meeting
DIMAPUR: Kyong Baptist Ehumkho Pastorden Sanrhyu (KBEPS) has convened a golden jubilee coordination meeting on July 16, 2 pm at Wokha town Baptist church. All the committee members of the golden jubilee have been requested to attend the meeting.
SCWT Tuluni celebration
DIMAPUR: Sumi community Wokha town (SCWT) would be celebrating Tuluni festival on July 8 at the residence of Hukato EE PWD. All members have been requested to attend the festival.
Mass social work in Wokha
DIMAPUR: A mass social work was organized at Wokha town on July 3 where all the colonies took part. DC Wokha along with parliamentary secretaries Y Patton and Er W Kithan also participated in the programme.
Meanwhile, DC Wokha expressed gratitude to all elected members, hoho representatives, GBs and DBs, colony chairmen, JCB and excavators’ owners, Sr. SP Wokha and 41 AR for the help rendered during the work.
Dept of employment & craftsmen condole
DIMAPUR: The officer and staffs of Directorate of Employment & Craftsmen training expressed its grief and sorrow over the sudden demise of Deputy Secretary H S Phuhton Konyak on July 2. A press release issued on behalf of the staffs descried late H S Phuhton Konyak as a simple and honest officer who was diligent in his work. They also further conveyed condolences to the bereaved family. Meanwhile, Eastern Nagaland People Organization (ENPO) also expressed grief over the demise of H S Phuhton Konyak and conveyed condolence to the bereaved family.
FGN apprehends ‘tax collectors’
DIMAPUR: Two habitual tax collectors identified as Lutoyi Sumi of Kiyatha village and Kiqheto Kibami of Goshito village was apprehended by FGN. According to a press release, the duo had been collecting taxes from Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh using the name of FGN despite several warnings issued to them. Further, the FGN also warned any individual of dire consequences if found indulging in such illegal activities.
Home dept informs
DIMAPUR: In pursuance of the order from P & R, the Home department informed that the length of service of senior private secretary TRS Pillai shall be counted from wef February 11, 1978 and not from the date of work as Mohorire from March 26, 1975 as maintained earlier in service book. Meanwhile, department has appointed Samuel Koshy PPS (rtd) as consultant to Home minister purely on contract basis for one year with a fixed pay of Rs 20000 and TA/DA as per entitlement of a stenographer in the grade of PPS.
GBTI 1st graduation
DIMAPUR: Gorkha Bible Training Institute (GBTI) held its first graduation on July 1 with Sumi Baptist Akukuhou Kughakulu (SBAK) Aizuto, executive secretary Picto Yepthomi as speaker.
Certificate of theology in vernacular was conferred to 10 graduates. The second batch will resume classes from July 23.
GBTI is a unit of Sumi Baptist Akukuhou Kughakulu (SBAK), Aizuto ministry, sponsored by Sumi Baptist Akukuhou Zunheboto (SBAZ) and located at Association of Gorkha Baptist Churches Nagaland, mission centre, Singrijan, Dimapur.
