Clarifying to the news item on ‘Plea to CAWD on construction works’, issued by Hunta adhoc committee ex-chairman Tahkhu Konyak published in a local daily on July 1, assistant engineer CAWD C Kwang Konyak informed that customary courts building at Maknyaksho, Mopong, Aboi and Chen had already been completed. While for Phomching, Naginimora, Wakching, assistant engineer stated that it has been barely five months since the project was started and was in progress.
CAWD also admitted that work for district court had not yet been started due to differences in site allocation between the district administration and judicial department.
Under general administration, EAC office and rest house-cum-EAC’s residence, first running bill had not been drawn as yet but works up to the level of post-plate has been completed. With regard to DC office, the main office building has been completed and only final touching was left.
Further, the rest house at Chen and rest house cum residence at Longching stand completed, staff quarters at Aboi are under progress and SDO (C) residence at Wakching does not come under CAWD, assistant engineer clarified. He also cautioned to physically go for inspection failing which, defamation case would be filed against ex-chairman.
