Incessant Welfare Society visit Old Age Home

Carrying out humanitarian services to the needy people, Incessant Welfare Society (IWS), a registered NGO based in Nagaland, with managing board and executive members visited Old Age Home, Kohima on Monday as part of their exposure–“Endeavour for Self Sustainability”.
A small function was organized with residents of Old Age Home, where Azungla Imsong, Chairperson and Vechusu Vero, Secretary chaired the programme. Champila Sangtam, Executive Member pronounced the invocation followed by a short speech by Tongpang L. Jamir, Advisor. Essential basic needs were also donated to the Old Age Home.
Later, interacting with Incessant Welfare Society, Old Age Home, Managing Director Neithonuo T. Liegise said they got help and assistance from NGO’s and well wishers, but most of the time they faced crisis due to fund constrain.
Incessant Welfare Society will be organizing a cultural programme in the month of September 2010, where the income generated would be donated to the Old Age Home.
The Managing director also acknowledged the society and assured to render co-operation for the cultural programme to be organized and appealed for a humble request to the fellow Nagas to lend a helping hand to the Old Age Home.
The Old Age Home, Kohima established on August 1, 2005, houses 16 members including 4 orphans, has a capacity for 20 people and 5 staff looking after them.
