Traffic affected due to fuel crisis in Tripura

Fuel crisis affected the traffic movement in Tripura for the fifth consecutive day today while the state Food and Civil Supplies Authority made clear that the rating of fuel would continue unless the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) intervenes immediately. According to a report, Tripura has been facing an unprecedented crisis of petroleum products. The government has rationed fuel in the state. Two wheelers were given one liter, three wheelers five liters, private vehicles 10 liters and commercial vehicles 15 liters everyday and as a result, vehicle movement became marginal across the state. Besides, petrol and diesel, supply of LPG cylinders have also hit the state, most of the outlets were closed and cylinders were being sold at Rs 700-1000 in open the market.
