Water supply disrupted in Kohima
Kohima: The PHED (Executive Engineer) urban division has informed that owing to damage of main pipe line 300mmdia C.I pipe at Kohima Science college road by a landslide on the night of July 6, water supply to Kohima has been disrupted Department informed that it would take at least ten days to repair the disrupted portion for restoration of water supply. All consumers of Kohima town have been requested to bear with the department.
KAK union meeting
DIMAPUR: A general meeting of Kuhuboto-Aghunaqa-Khaghaboto (KAK) union will be held at KGPO hall, Kuhuboto on July 10 from 10 am. All head GBs, chairman, public leaders of KAK union, Niuland and Nihokhu have been invited to attend the meeting.

Consumer awareness campaign
DIMAPUR: Department of Legal Metrology & Consumer Protection Nagaland, Kohima would be conducting a consumer awareness campaign by distributing booklets and pamphlets on consumer education in local dialects for all tribes of Nagaland for creating awareness on consumer’s rights for the month of July. Informing this in a press release, Controller, Legal Metrology & Consumer Protection, K.T. Sukhalu (IAS) said the main objective of the campaign was to create strong consumer movement in the State and provide speedy redressal of consumer grievances/disputes under the umbrella of Consumer Protection Act 1986 through the State Commission in the State Level and Consumer Fora in the District Level. The Assistant Controller of Legal Metrology & Consumer Projection in all the District Offices will conduct awareness programme in their respective districts effecting from July 1 to 31 for mass awareness on consumer rights among the consumers from the grass root level. The release further requested all sub-divisional administrative offices to extend protective measures for the successful conduct of the campaign in its respective jurisdiction.
Cooperate in census drive: Lalthara
DIMAPUR: Sate government has directed all Government departments in Nagaland to extend full cooperation to census department in completing Census 2011 successfully and not to seek for exemption of their respective officials from Census related works and NPR Chief Secretary Lalthara in an order also directed that all government servants would be enumerated in their present posting places for Census 2011 and NPR and not in their home/permanent residence.
