NPSC to conduct speed-test for typist, stenographers

Nagaland Public Service Commission would be conducting speed-test in typing writing at 45 words per minute (w.p.m) for typist Gr-I and Gr-II who had completed four years and 5 years of service respectively. The speed test in typing writing would be conducted only for typist under the establishment of the Directorate, Secretariat and Head of Departments in Kohima district as per Office Memorandum No. AR-3/GEN- 174/2007 dated 09-09-08. The speed test will be held at the NPSC Exam Hall (new building) on August 31 from 10 a.m onwards.
Department in charge have been informed to intimate the names of eligible candidates with the date of joining as Typist Gr-III and Gr-II on regular basis for the proposed speed test to the Commission on or before August 18 positively along with a copy of recent passport photograph. Any communication in this regard after August 18 would not be entertained.
NPSC would conduct speed-test in shorthand for Stenographers Gr-I, Gr-II (Sr) and Gr-II (Jr) in the NPSC Exam Hall (New Building) on August 30 at 10 a.m onwards.
The appointing authority have been informed to sent names of eligible candidates in grade wise to the NPSC on or before August 18 and no candidates would be allowed to appear in both lower and higher grade simultaneously at a time.
A list of Grade wise eligible candidates for speed test in shorthand at 150 w.p.m 130 w.p.m and 120 w.p.m with their Roll Nos. etc will be exhibited at the notice broad of the NPSC Exam Hall (New Building) Candidates have been informed that success in speed test should confer no right of promotion unless vacancy/vacancies were available in the department and appointing authority was satisfied that candidates are eligible for promotion.
