Tsminyu unit of All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association (ANSTA) has extended support to central ANSTA for cancellation of promotion order of one graduate teacher superseding about 800 seniors. The unit stated that such an action on the part of the government was very unfair and contrary to the government’s policy of cleansing the education department. The unit in a press release issued by its president, Walachu Kath and the general secretary, Robert N. Marathon, informed its members to be prepared for the agitation as and when central ANSTA would launch its state-wide agitation in the event of the government failure to address its demand.
Meanwhile, ANSTA Longleng unit has appealed to the commissioner and secretary SCERT and education to release the extension order of the 2001 appointees on or before August 10. ANSTA Longleng unit president K. Takangangba stated that despite demanding all documents and strict verification there was no result in the intervening process of verification as their extension order was kept in abeyance.
