PHEK: Phek DPDB meeting was held on August 3 at DC’s Conference Hall with DPDB Chairman Phek and Advisor for Science Technology, Deo Nukhu. The schemes under LADP for the year 2010-11 was finalized which was submitted from the five Assembly Constituencies including the Common Pool was brought for approval. After proper deliberation, the house approved the following schemes : 16th Pfutsero A/c - Rs 83.25 lakh, 17th Chizami A/c- Rs. 83.25 lakhs, 18th Chozuba A/c Rs. 83.25 lakh, 19th Phek A/c – Rs. 83.25 lakhs, 20th Meluri A/c - Rs. 83.25 lakhs and Common Pool – Rs. 75.00 lakhs. Schools were recommended for grand-in-aid; up-gradation of government Schools. Chairman requested the DEO to furnish all necessary documents for the two schools in order to onward submission to the concerned department. The five proposals for issue of Zonal Taxi permit was also approved for recommendation. As entrusted, the Forest and Legal Metrology & Consumer Protection Departments presented their departmental activities.
Apart from the agenda, the Parliamentary Secretary for Tourism, Art & Culture, Law & Justice, Yitachu briefed the house about shortage of teachers in the schools within the district. On the implementation of LADP, he informed members to stick procedures while implementing the various schemes and stressed not to go for duplication of schemes. Phek DC, Mikha Lomi also informed the members about the ensuing Inter-departmental Badminton Tournament to be held at Phek in the coming days and requested them to give their full co-operation for success of the programme.
WOKHA: Wokha DPDB meeting was held on August 3 at DC’s conference hall, the meeting was chaired by Chairman DPDB Wokha and Parliamentary Secretary for Fire & Emergency Services, Home Guard, W. Kithan. Minister for Agri, Dr. Chumben and Parliamentary Secretary for Geology & Mining, Irrigation and Flood Control, Y. Patton also attended the meeting. Beginning with the review of the last meeting minutes, new agendas were discussed and approved by the board. The board agreed and gave approval on the L.A.D.F Scheme of the four Constituencies of the district including the Common Pool Fund for the year 2010 – 2011, step for development and revival of Tsumang Lake into a Tourist resort was entrusted to sub-committee and they were asked to visit the area and submit the report in the next meeting. The Supply Department of the district gave a brief report stating that BPL Rice quotas for the district were being disbursed to the beneficiaries. District Administration also informed the board that Relief Rehabilitation/Compensation was being provided to all beneficiaries in the district for 2008-09, but sanction not received for 2009-10. For enhancement of Government Revenue in the district, Power, PHED, NST, Excise, Forest, Veterinary and Land Revenue departments gave a brief status report on the present revenue collection by them.
MON: Mon DPDB meeting was held under the new DPDB Chairman, M.C. Konyak, Minister of Forest, Ecology & Environment, Excise on August 4 at DC’s conference hall, Mon. The new DPDB Chairman highlighted the financial position of the state and called upon the government officials to be very serious and concern about the Revenue mobilization. He further appealed to the officials to highlight the departmental programs and policies in the DPDB meeting and also shared the problems and difficulties faced by the respective department to take up jointly by the DPDB. Calling upon officers to be in their place of posting place, M.C. Konyak requested officers to visit and inspect the sub-division level to see that departmental activities were implemented actively. He informed that under LADP 2010-11, Rs. 175,000/- has been deducted for HIV & AIDS program and another 15% has been reserved for common pool. The board recommended and approved the following agendas on grant in aid for schools The Board also approved the Local Area Development Program (LADP) 2010 – 2011. In view of acquisition of new land for expansion of Mon town and demolition of Town hall for construction of multipurpose building of the NGOs, the Board constituted two sub-committee both under the chairmanship of Hiazu Meru.
KOHIMA: Kohima DPDB meeting was held on August 5 at DC’s Conference Hall, Kohima under the Chairmanship of Advisor IT & TE, & Chairman, Kohima DPDB, Vikho-o Yhoshu. The meeting, which was also attended by Parliamentary Secretary, Horticulture, R. Khing & Chairman NKVIB, Nicky Kire, deliberated on the Schemes under LADP 2010-11.The chairman highlighted the sector/constituency wise break-up of district fund allocation under LADP 2010-11, which the House unanimously approved. The Chairman also gave details of the schemes and financial assistance under the Common Pool. Dwelling on the various activities that the Kohima DPDB has been undertaking as part of Capacity Building, the chairman lauded the members, especially the village visitation committees. He said that the suggestion and recommendations submitted by the village visitation committees are being look into and that necessary follow up actions have to be initiated. Parliamentary Secretary Horticulture, R. Khing also spoke on similar lines and further encouraged all departmental activities in the DPDB meetings. DAO, G. Ikuto Zhimomi gave a representation on ‘physical targets and achievements of the ATMA, Kohima during 2009-2010’. DEO, Kohima, Zaveyi Nyekha gave a presentation on ‘Activities and Intervention under DMA SSA Kohima. RTO, Kohima M. Tetseo also gave a presentation on his departmental activities board recommended for grant-in-aid and of government schools
LONGLENG: Monthly Longleng DPDB was held at DC conference hall on 6 August 2010, under the chairmanship of DPDB chairman Longleng district and parliamentary secretary RD and REPA, Pangnyu Phom. The Parliamentary Secretary transport and communication, P. Dako Phom also encouraged officers to be sincere in their posting place and extend services to the district people. It also approved to write to the department in-charge for up gradation schools in Longleng. The board also unanimously resolve to approach the concern department to create new post of SDO (mechanical) and SS, NST at Longleng town.
It also approved the Local Area Development Project LADP scheme for the year 2010-11 for Longleng district. The board further discussed Load shedding in Longleng town where the board resolved to write to the electrical department to defer the time of load shedding at 10-11pm. The chairman also announced the government policy that every tribal president would be the member of DPDB in order to bring and discuss the community problem in the meeting.
TUENSANG: Tuensang DPDB meeting was held on August 6 at DC’s Conference Hall under the chairmanship of DC Tuensang, Y. L. Jami. The DC welcomed the Chairman of DPDB and Parliamentary Secretary for Relief & Rehabilitation, Printing & Stationery and Fishery, S. Heno and all the members of the House for attending the meeting. S. Heno congratulated Y.L. Jami for his selection as an IAS officer. He also thanked all members for their co-operation and unity among the members and encouraged them to do so even in the future. The board discussed about the finalization of LADP Annual Plan 2010-11and for 7 A/C and common pool scheme under Tuensang district, which the house unanimously approved
KIPHIRE: Kiphire DPDB meeting was held at DC’s office chamber, Kiphire under the chairmanship of DC and Vice Chairman Kiphire, C. M. Tsanglao. The Chairman informed the Board that the situation arising out of the proposed Road Show has calmed down and informed the members that the government of Nagaland had cancelled the Road Show in order to maintain peace amongst the different sections of people. The Road Show Kiphire, which coincides with the Sangtam Mongmong festival, will be conducted as decided in DPDB meeting held on 20th May 2010, as per the programme of Road Show decided by the state government. The Chairman informed the Board that the DCC/DLRC/DLSC (Bank) meeting was postponed due to unavoidable circumstances. LADP 2010-11 Scheme proposed has been scrutinised and approved as under 59 A/C - Rs. 83.25 lakhs , 60 A/C - Rs. 83.25 lakhs , Common Pool - Rs. 30 lakhs An application received from headmaster EL-Beth School Kiphire was recommended by DIS Kiphire for grant-in-aid and was forwarded to the higher authority for further necessary action.
