Smartschool franchise in Nagaland

For the first time in the state, Smartschool, a unique leadership curriculum for schools was launched on Monday. The franchise of the Bangalore based PeoplePro pioneered curriculum was brought about by Darlyn Wotsa who is also the centre director.
Interacting with media persons at the office located at Vikiye Centre (Notun Basti), centre director Darlyn Wotsa informed that the Smartschool curriculum is a concept aimed in providing leadership training modules and life skills and can be easily integrated with the any school curriculum. She also added that it is a yearlong programme customized for every age group from class 1-12. Some of the modules included for different age groups are ‘speaking without words- body language’, ‘creating a clean world- cleanliness’, ‘from invisible to visible- goal setting’ etc. The centre director informed that regular workshops are conducted for parents and teachers also.
Wotsa also disclosed that four schools from the state, two each from Zunheboto and Dimapur, have already inducted the Smartschool curriculum. She also added that more schools are in the pipeline to induct the curriculum from next year onwards. It may be mentioned that schools from Bangalore such as Bishop Cottons and DPS have already introduced Smartschools.
