Tizit firing incident

Tizit police has registered case against the “culprit” involved in August 6 firing incident near Nagaland check gate, Tizit, where a 19-year-old girl was injured. Relating the sequence of event to Nagaland Post over the phone, the SDPO Tizit said that around five to six rounds were fired that night. He said on further enquiry it was discovered that some NSCN (I-M) activist had reportedly fired blank shot in an attempt to stop their old comrade who had fled away. Further, the SDPO disclosed that during the incident a 19-year-old girl, who was sleeping on the bed at that time, was hit by a stray bullet on her left toe. Meanwhile, the SDPO said that investigation was on in connection with the case.
