While light and medium vehicles bound for Kohima from Dimapur side would be diverted from lower by-pass to Jotsoma/Khonoma road junction to science college to Kohima town. The SP has said that all loaded heavy vehicles, moving towards Kohima from Dimapur side, through NH-39, would be stopped before reaching KMC dumping area and would be allow to proceed to Kohima through NH-39 only after road clearance was communicated by BRTF/Police. Meanwhile, informing the public that road between New Chieswema (NH-61) to Peducha (NH-39) was through, the SP has urged the public, traveling by light and medium vehicles, to use this route. Further, the SP Kohima has cautioned trucks owners/transporters not to ply over loaded trucks/tankers as it was causing traffic congestion and also damaging the highway.
