The United Peoples Democratic Solidarity (UPDS) has strongly refuted the claim of KLNLF on the death of two lady cadre belonging the KLNLF. Expressing its concern over the published news item on Wednesday, the UPDS leaders said the brutal assassination of the two female cadres of KLNLF, ‘Sgt’ Serdihun Ingtipi of Panjan and ‘Pt’ Marigold Hansepi of Langlokso is a matter of outmost concern.
The UPDS through its press statement Thursday charged the KLNLF of leveling baseless accusations against dragging the name of an UPDS cadre ‘Sgt’ Terang in the murder case. The UPDS has challenged the KLNLF leadership to prove its involvement in the issueand also to publish the mobile number with call details and existence of ‘Sgt’ Terang within three days.
The UPDS leaders claimed that one of the deceased girl was loyal to the KLNLF, while the other had her share of trust with the UPDS, “this might have went against the rule of the KLNLF, resulting into the silent disappearance and ultimate death of the two lady activists within the KLNLF”. The UPDS while condemning the shocking crime has restrained itself from playing the blame game, “at this point of time we are not interested to enter into any controversy” mentioned the release. The UPDS has urged responsible persons, particularly the women organizations to vent their protest against the heinous butchery of the two girl, the apex leaders of UPDS has also demanded before the authority for setting up a judicial enquiry to unearth the matter and make arrangement for immediate arrest of the culprits involved in the incident.
