Against the need for a constant creation and dissemination of knowledge, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) with the support of Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DONER) is organizing the ‘North East Knowledge Expo’, Dimapur from August 19 -21, at Urban Haat.
According to Ajay Sethi, Convener, Knowledge Expo, CII, Nagaland, this first time initiative of CII would focus on areas like employment and vocational options for youth, entrepreneurship development and opportunities, skill development, self employment and financial assistance.
The expo will have participation from organizations and institutions for sharing knowledge in their specific areas to provide that extra edge needed to harness intrinsic abilities of the region.
A high profile conference is scheduled on the first day of the exhibition with many senior government officials and eminent industry players likely to participate at the conference.
The Expo would be bringing various stakeholders like developmental organizations, industry, students, budding entrepreneurs, financial institutions and government on a common platform to educate youth on options for self employment, income generation, career and employment opportunities, developmental schemes and pertinent funding options.
Self Employed individuals, budding entrepreneurs, VIPS, state governments and departments, college and school students, college deans, institution heads, technical and vocational faculty and media are likely to visit during the three days of exhibition.
Around 30 institutions are expected to participate and about 10,000 visitors are likely to visit the fair.
