Reacting to NH-39 traffic regulations published in the local dailies, the Jotsoma Youth Organization (JYO) has flayed diversion of vehicles in the midst of the village.
JYO said the narrow village road was constructed for easy communication and not for heavy traffic flow, adding it may not be safe for children scattered in the village. JYO stated that despite several request made to the authorities and BRO for maintenance of Jotsoma by-pass road, no action had been taken, and as a result, it said, the villagers had been maintaining the by-pass road and Kohima Laike Road for the past 5-6 years.
Public traveling from Kohima to Dimapur and vice versa has been requested to use the Jotsoma bye-pass road and Kohima-Laike Road. JYO said it was ready to render its best service and informed public to contact numbers for any help -985616220, 9856070662 & 9436005344.
