SBI inaugurates ATM booths in Phek, Sakhabama

State Bank of India (SBI) on Thursday opened its 13th ATM booth under Kohima branch near Sakhabama junction.
SBI ATM which is aimed at catering to both civilian and personnel of newly established 103 Infantry Brigade headquarter was formally inaugurated by Brig Arun Singh Harge in presence of hosts of SBI officials led by its Assistant General Manager RBO Dimapur A.K Das, Army officials & personnel and civilian in a brief ceremony.
In his address, Brig Arun Singh assured cooperation to SBI and also asked the people including the uniformed personnel to take advantage of ATM booth. He however reminded that having ATM could also have and impact on spending and asked particularly the army personnel to be more cautious in spending as they have a family to support back home.
He also thanked the people particularly officers of 21st Sikh Regiment posted at Sakhabama for their keen initiative that has resulted in establishing the ATM booth.
Earlier, SBI Assistant General Manager RBO, Dimapur, A.K Das in his address said with the opening of new ATM booth at Sakhabama, SBI have 749 ATM booths in NE while it has more than 23,000 ATM booths across the country.
Meanwhile, two SBI ATM booths were installed on August 11at Phek district. The first booth was installed at 7 Assam Rifles Complex (near CSD Canteen) Phek, inaugurated by Col. N.S. Dhaliwal SM, Commandant 7 AR as the chief guest.
The commandant while addressing the gathering as the chief guest expressed his gratitude to SBI for installing ATM Booth service in the premises and added that it would be useful to the officers, jawans and also the people of Phek in general. The chief guest further said the ATM booth would be helpful for the public and also called upon them to make the best use of it. The chief guest also unfurled the plague of the ATM booth.
Chief manager administration RBO Dimapur, K. Leivang also spoke on the occasion and called for cooperation with the SBI personnel for overall benefit of the people and also extended gratitude to all sections of the people for their cooperation. Stating that technology was moving very fast, he called upon the people to avail the opportunity.
The second ATM Booth inauguration was graced by DC, Mikha Lomi as the chief guest at DRDA Office building (Basement floor) Phek. Speaking as the chief guest the DC said science and technology has already reached Phek and called upon the people of Phek to cooperate with the SBI authority and handle with outmost care.
He also called upon the people to maintain discipline for the up-liftment of the society and assured his full cooperation to the SBI authority.
DRDA Project Director, Muposu Thelou also spoke on the occasion.
