TVCU withdraws ultimatum

With the fulfilment of demand report from the office of chief engineer PHED Kohima on August 12, the Tuensang Village Citizen Union (TVCU) has withdrawn the ultimatum served to executive engineer PHED Tuensang with regard to the connection of new pipeline source project to Tuensang village. A press statement issued by Union president N.Y Choba stated that the decision to withdraw the ultimatum was taken after a meeting was held on August 13 at DC Chamber Tuensang with DC, executive engineer, SDO PHED Tuensang Sadar head Dobashi and village authorities basing on the letter received from the chief engineer PHED.
Stating that public has been suffering from unavailability of water supply for a long time, the union has appealed to the authorities’ in-charge to implement the work.
TVCU has expressed gratitude to minister for PHED Dr. Ngangshi, chief engineer PHED, DC Y.L Jami, executive engineer SDO PHED Tuensang and public leaders of Tuensang for taking up into the matter seriously and for fulfilling the ultimatum.
