Governor’s award for art, music & literature


Kohima: Governor’s Award in field of Art, Music and Literature for the year 2010 will be awarded to Yangertoshi Pongen and Velasuzo Chüzo in Art; Margaret Shishak and Senti Toy in field of Music; and Easterine Kire in Literature. This was announced during “At Home” hosted by the Governor Nikhil Kumar and his lady wife Shyama Singh at Darbur Hall, Sunday. Commissioner and secretary, Art and Culture Department, Himato Zhimomi, who announced the name of awardees, said since none of the awardees were in station, the actual felicitation programme would be held on January 26, 2011.
PMEGP interview
DIMAPUR: The interview for PMEGP applicants for Longleng district has been postponed due to some unavoidable programme on August 18. DIC Longleng further informed that next date for the interview would be published later.
SJP convenes meet

NPF Peren meeting
DIMAPUR: A consultative meeting with frontal organizations has been convened by NPF Peren on August 18 from 10 am at Peren Town hall. All division office bearers, 6th Tening A/C, 7th Peren A/C office bearers and frontal organizations village units, ward presidents, secretary have been informed to attend the meeting.
F&CS Kohima informs
DIMAPUR: Food & Civil Supplies informed that APL rice issued from the ADS office on VIP slip/individual application will be discontinued with immediate effect since the streamlining of FPS was over. Assistant director Lanutoshi Jamir informed that APL rice would be issued alternatively to FPS and village councils from August onwards while APL rice for the month of August would be issued to FPS Kohima town followed by village councils by September.
Congress org election
DIMAPUR: In partial modification to the order No. Nil, ON August 13, regarding Congress organisational election of 39-Sanis A/C, state election officer, NPCC, Seyiekuolie has issued order that election of both village unit and ACCC levels would be conducted as follows. Booth (village) level elections on August 17, claims and objections period and publication of VCC presidents and delegates list on August18 to 22. ACCC level election on August 24, claims and objections period and publication of ACCC elected office bearers, DCC delegates and PCC Members list from August 25 to 30.
Message of GOC 3 corps on 64th Independence Day
DIMAPUR: Lieutenant Gen NK Singh, AVSM, VSM GOC 3 Corps greeted the people of Nagaland on the occasion of 64th Independence Day with prayer of peace, progress and prosperity.

AZSU Dimki session
DIMAPUR: All Zeliangrong Students’ Union Assam, Manipur & Nagaland (AZSU-AMN) would hold its 32nd Dimki session on August 20, 8 am at New Jalukie, Peren district. All executives of AZSU, ZSUN, ZSUM, ZSUA, tribunals, senior leaders, frontal organization leaders and well wishers have been requested to attend the programme.
