ASUK: Ao Students’ Union Kohima (ASUK) has condemned the actions and atrocities committed by 9th AR under its commanding officer Col. Rohit Khare and his Jawans in destroying the historical Monolith erected at Mangmetong Village on July 9. Supporting the stand of AKM, ASUK has demanded public apology to MVC.DMST: Dimapur Mangmetong Senso Telongjem (DMST) has expressed resentment over the action of 9th Assam Rifles led by its C.O Rohit Khare on July 9 where the historical monument of Mangmetong village was destroyed. DMST President Mongsanger Imchen and I.Nukshi Tsüdir Secretary stated that arbitrary and barbaric action of the Assam Rifles C.O and his Jawans should be punished as per the law of the land and appealed to all right thinking Nagas to condemn the action of the 9th Assam Rifles Mokokchung so that no such incident was repeated to challenge rights of the Nagas.NSF: Condemning the incident at Mangmetong village on July 9 by C.O and his Jawans, Naga Students’ Federation has demanded for befitting action against the erring officer as per the law of the land. NSF said it has been recording such atrocities meted out by security personnel defying the sanctity of the indigenous democratic set up of Nagas. NSF further extended solidarity to the Mangmetong village.
