Free roaming for NE BSNL pre-paid customers

BSNL’s NE-II Circle, a state owned government telecom company, providing easy and affordable service, having pan India presence announced the launch of prepaid roaming across Assam and North East states with immediate effect.
BSNL ‘s NE-II Telecom Circle (Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Nagaland) prepaid customers can now roam across Assam and other North East states as per DoT notification.
BSNL has recently launched video call service for all its 2G \ 3G customers. This facility can be availed by any BSNL customer having 3G handsets and selecting 3G network in the handset. BSNL’s 3G services at affordable rates are to bridge the rural-urban divide. It facilitates faster connectivity and enables applications such as Internet TV, Video-on-Demand, audio video calls and high speed data exchange etc.
By making 3G services affordable, BSNL is ultimately facilitating socio-economic development of the masses though applications such as telemedicine, e-education and e-governance. The video call tariffs are affordable @ Rs. 0.30/min local and standard STD tariff applicable NE-II circle plans to add around 2.6 lakhs mobile connections, 23,000 Broadband and fixed line connections besides connections on CDMA and WIMAX during the year 2010-11.
NE-II circle which is committed to provide technologically advanced services to its discerning customers at affordable cost is spreading and optimizing its telecom networks to serve the customers in a better way and boost the economy of the states.
